The Light Vivarium

The Light Vivarium blends the worlds of manufacturing, lighting design and art. Using lenticular magnification, the individual bands of light evoke organic movement even while stationary and tempt the viewer to experience it from multiple angles. Each of the 800 LEDs were hand-placed & programmed.

Suspended in the time-dilating side effects of interdimensional travel, this otherworldly vivarium features a calibrated ecosystem of what can only be referred to as "living light". These light-based organisms can only be viewed through a refraction lens, but their slow-growing beauty is still apparent.
